Beautiful Wp! Love it. The remains of history, anywhere in the world should be preserved! History provides us lessons for the future! The one who doesn't understand, or want to understand, those lessons isn't able to interpret future events. Stay uploading, Kent!

I Agree although, Europe is not the only nation to have removed there own cultures history. Humanity has been doing this for some time. I believe the saying "Out with the old & in with the New" Life as we know it has been changed to fit the needs of businesses. Such things like historical landmarks are viewed to have less significance to modern societies. So yes it is a rarity indeed.

wonderful! i love images like this.. and visiting old cathedrals. its a shame that such beautiful pieces of European history, like this very aare becoming ruins or sold to banks to cover national debt (as in the uk), or simply turned into mosques, or disco joints. The history buff in me says that places like this should be preserved as historical landmarks, and works of art.
